Nichrome generally refers to any alloy of nickel, chromium, and often iron and/or other elements or substances. Nichrome alloys are typically used in resistance wire. They are also used in some slide wire potentiometer, standard resistor, electrical heating elements, heating cable and in other applications. Nichrome has five characteristics:1. High strength under high temperature 2.Cold resistance 3. High radiance after full oxidation 4. No magnetism 5. Resistance to high temperature, good anti-corrosion.
